Who We Are
BigFreq Electronic Music Producers Academy is a comprehensive education platform and creative ecosystem dedicated to underground electronic music producers, particularly those in psytrance, techno, and progressive genres. We’re a team of active industry professionals who combine decades of festival performance experience, successful top-charting label operations, digital marketing expertise, and mindset coaching to deliver what most academies can’t: the complete picture.
We’re not theorists. We’re producers, Event Promoters, and Label owners managing global distribution. Digital marketers who’ve built six-figure ventures. NLP practitioners who understand that technical skills mean nothing without the right mindset. And most importantly, we’re mentors who’ve walked the exact path our community is walking now.

If you’re a complete beginner who’s never opened a DAW, we’ve got you covered. We have free foundational resources and tutorials that can get you up to speed on the basics. Once you understand core concepts like arrangement, mixing fundamentals, and your DAW workflow, you’ll be ready to benefit from the intermediate and advanced content in our membership tiers. The BigFreq community is also incredibly supportive of newcomers – we were all bedroom producers once.
No student discounts are currently available for BigFreq Academy memberships. Here’s why: this is an exclusive, professionally-led platform with content you won’t find at universities, taught by someone with 20 years of real-world experience touring globally, running festivals, and building multiple music businesses. The investment is already a tiny fraction of what traditional music school costs – and the knowledge is more practical and immediately applicable to actually earning income from your music.
There’s no traditional free trial, but we do offer BigFreq Free Public Access where you can explore our community, read posts, download free resources, and get a feel for the vibe before committing. This gives you a risk-free way to see if BigFreq is right for you. When you’re ready to level up, you can choose the membership tier that fits your current goals and budget.
You’re welcome back anytime. If you cancel your membership and decide to return later, you can reactivate at the current standard pricing. However, if you’re on a limited-time promotional rate, that special pricing is only locked in as long as you maintain continuous membership. Cancel, and you’ll return at standard rates. Think carefully before canceling if you’re on a grandfathered promotional price.

The fundamentals of sound design, mixing, branding, monetization, and artist development are universal. Absolutely. You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time, and we’ll prorate the difference. If you want to downgrade (for example, from Annual to Monthly), you can do so at your next billing cycle. Just reach out to support or manage it through your account dashboard. We want you in the tier that makes sense for where you are in your journey right now.
