Your pack earns in two ways: direct sales on bigfreq.com, and downloads inside the Sonic Vault.

Net is the sale price after VAT and payment and platform fees. The advance comes out of your first royalties, and you never pay it back, even if the pack sells less than the advance.

The Sonic Vault pool

Every download of your pack earns you money.

Sonic Vault subscribers choose new sounds every month.

Every month half of the Sonic Vault's net subscription income goes into a pool for the sound designers.
Split by downloads. If your pack was 10% of all Vault downloads that month, you get 10% of the pool.
Same rate for everyone. BigFreq's own packs share the pool on the same terms.

Your rights

BigFreq owns the pack. Once accepted and signed, the pack and all its sounds belong to BigFreq, including the copyright. You're credited as its designer everywhere it appears.
You keep earning. Your 60% and your Vault share, for as long as the pack is on sale, even after the agreement ends.
No other brand without you. If BigFreq ever stops trading, your pack can't be sold under another brand without your written consent.
Your own music. You can always use the sounds in your own music.
Buyers keep their sounds. Customers who bought or downloaded your pack keep it and their royalty-free licence for good.

Your name and photo on the pack page, plus a designer profile page on bigfreq.com.
A launch. Featured in the BigFreq newsletter and on FeedFreq at release.
Free Sonic Suite licence while you have an active pack.
A named contact who replies within 1 working day.

Payouts

Monthly, by the 15th, from EUR 50, straight to your bank. No fees.
Direct sales: a live dashboard shows every sale and what you earned.
The Vault pool is paid with your monthly statement.

What we ask

Our Sonic Vault specs. Files delivered with our naming, gain staging, 44.1 and 48 kHz, MIDI where it applies.
Demo audio and a short description for each pack.

Original sounds only

No AI-made sounds. Every sound must be recorded, synthesised or designed by you. Sounds generated by AI tools are not accepted.
No reuse of other sample packs or libraries. This includes sounds that are processed, layered, resampled or renamed.
If we find either, the pack is removed from sale and from the Sonic Vault at once, and you are fully responsible for any legal claims and costs that follow, as set out in the agreement.

Before you send

Send a demo, not the whole pack.

A 1 to 2 minute audio demo of 8 to 10 patches tells us more than a folder of files. Play each sound dry first, then in a short musical context.

How a pack is accepted

Questions

Who owns the pack?

Once it is accepted and signed, BigFreq owns the pack and all its sounds, including the copyright. You're credited as its designer everywhere it appears, and you can always use the sounds in your own music.

How and when do I get paid?

Every month, by the 15th, once you have EUR 50 or more, straight to your bank with no fees. A live dashboard shows your direct sales; the Vault pool comes with your monthly statement.

Can I send a pack that is already for sale elsewhere?

No. An accepted pack belongs to BigFreq, so it can't be on sale anywhere else.

What happens if the agreement ends?

You keep earning your 60% and your Vault share for as long as the pack is on sale. Customers who already have your pack keep it.

What if my pack is not a fit?

You get short feedback and keep all your rights, so you can take it elsewhere or send the next one.

Do you accept AI-made sounds or material from other packs?
